Adam Thomson's bright mood mirrored his teammate's boots as the All Black flanker made a fresh start to his test career at Carisbrook last night.
Variously coloured boots were given the all clear by the All Blacks and their sponsor adidas for the test against Fiji in a departure from the normally conservative colour-scheme of predominantly black and white.
