Ali Williams can still vividly recall the last time he saw his father walking. Sixteen-year-old Williams was at home in Auckland when his dad, Rodney, left for Mt Smart Stadium to attend an Elton John concert and like most teenagers Ali probably flicked his attention back to the TV or mounted another raid on the kitchen fridge.
