City conducts major blight reduction sweep

In the Desire area of New Orleans, blight is not hard to find.
That's true around the Sampson Playground on Louisa Street, where dozens of volunteers spent Saturday trying to fix up the park and surrounding streets.
"It's a lot of blight, empty homes that need to be rebuilt," said volunteer Charnara Clark. "We just want to clean up the park, get it together, so the kids can come out and play."
