Reports say Roemer planning exploratory committee for presidential run
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer is planning to form an exploratory committee to run for the United States presidency in 2012, according to reports.
WAFB, citing sources, says Roemer is expected to make an announcement Thursday at a news conference.
After mulling his options for months, Roemer plans to be in Iowa next week for an event known to attract Republican contenders.
