Coastal parish leaders critical of plan to spread BP money across state

NEW ORLEANS -- As the state gears up to hand out $30 million in a series of installments for tourism marketing, coastal parish leaders are crying foul over how the pie is being divided.
"I don't want to be fighting with the state. We should be on the same team," said Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser.
Nungesser said the BP money should be directed toward oil spill affected areas -- period.
